I am not a expert, but check your u-joints, all the bushings in the arms, and the torqe arm mount up buy the tranny. Thats my .02 cents.

Plus I'll move ya to the top of the list.

I am no expert either but could it be a bad transmission mount?

How far from a stop is it doing this? Does the engine rev at all? Maybe it's a really hard/early downshift to 1st?

Not particularly..just kicking some ideas around hoping someone will stumble over here and read all this and have a right idea.. So like RIGHT before the car stops right? I assume your car is an automatic...the car downshifts into 1st like immediately before you stop, otherwise it remains in 2nd, because 1st is geared so low that if it shifts into it at anything other than very very close to a stop, the engine will rev up pretty good. I've heard there's something internally in the transmission, like a...cushion that wears with time and can cause harder, rougher downshifts and stuff, but this was from a friend of mine that isn't the most knowledgeable...but I know little about transmissions so I can't know for sure if any of that part is true or not. Anything else strange with your car's operations, in concern with the transmission/rear end/torque converter, we should know about?
