how do you take off/put on ignition rotor???
i went to change my cap and rotor.....my crappy haynes manual says "the rotor is held on by two screws" hmmm maybe on a v8??? on mine (3.1), there are no screws...none on the replacement either. well, i couldnt figure out how to get the damn thing off....figured its better to ask than to force it and end up stranded.
No screws. You're right, that's only on the V8's.
You just have to pull it off. It can be a huge pain sometimes. If worse comes to worst, I'll put some channel locks on it and just twist it off.
Once you get it off, spray a little bit of WD-40 on the shaft and then try to clean up the surface with some fine sandpaper. If you do put some WD-40 on it, just spray a little on the end of the shaft and dry it off before you put it back together.

Yep, mine was rusted on like a M/F when I bought the car, spent about an how hammering a screw driver on it to "chisle" it off in the guys yard I bought it from. I told myself I would drive it home w/o brakes and high gear.
I DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also took a finger nail file, and some wd40 and lubed that baby up once I got it off.

I had that problem a few times... careful when pulling, you could scrape the back of your hand against the cowl if the rotor suddenly comes free. (ouch!) You could also try prying up on the rotor with a big screwdriver, using the back of the plenum as a pivot point.
