this a good or bad time?

my car is a 84 2.8 auto. and i decided to time it to see how fast it could get to 60 i could get to 60 in 7.9 sec is that good or bad. (4 my car) oh and this is kph not mph. r u suppost to time it to mph??

Hmm, since most of us are in the states we aren't used to metric 0-60 times. I have no clue what that translates to in MPH.

True. I wonder if there's a standard for metric countries... or if they go to the equivilant of 60 mph. Like, in Europe, do they still do 0-60mph times? Wouldn't make sense. Also, depends on how you time it... even clicking a stopwatch as you floor the gas might be incorrect.

Yeah, best bet is a gtech - Metric acceleration times are 0-100, and 0-150kph. 100kph=62mph roughly.

In most car mags dealing with Euro cars, they do 0-62mph tests.
