Question about the MAP on the v6
Question about the MAP on the v6
ok well today I was at a friends, and he has a beretta GT, same engine as mine, well we were looking at all the sensors on my car, and we disconnected the map(while car was running) and the car ran the same, and it took a little bit for the ses to come on, so we hooked it back up and it took a while for the light to go out. So we went and tried it on his car, unplugged it and it ran really rough and we got the light right away, and it went off right away too. My question is, are these symptoms of my car the same thing you guys get, or is my map dieing?

Don't know much about the MAP, but since you got no replies yet... where did you unhook the MAP? Did you unhook the MAP from the vacuum line, or the MAP connector from the computer?

Almost sounds like the computer might be bad, or there might be a short between the computer and the MAP connector. I would imagine that you'd throw a code as soon as you unplugged the wiring harness from the MAP. I'd think the computer should've seen the missing MAP right away, instead of a few moments later.
Anyone with a 90-92 care to try this out for Penz?
