help me get started

k heres the thing i have a 84 firebird well>LC1. anyway its carb now i want to get some sort of cold air intake goin on or ram air type thing but i want to make it my self, i have looked all over this site and cant find anything on it help me out here i have this weekend off and want to do something to my car.
