2.8 to 3.4 swap spark plug question

Hi, I am new to this board. I just finished my 2.8 to 3.4 swap. My engine is from a 94 camaro with 60,000 miles. Paid 400 bucks w/30 day warranty.

I am curently using the stock 1986 spec 2.8 mpfi ac delco plug. What is a good high performance plug and what size?

Swap went great thanks to tips and forums from the people who share their knowledge like KED85.

Future plans now include some interior work, disposal of 85 mph speedo, new brakes, sound system, fiberglass ram air hood of some type, install 16 rims that I already have.

I like the headers. What does the y-ppe cost to make and is the ox sensor located in the pas. header or in the new y-pipe?

Great to be here,
Rick

I asked that about the headers. The O2 will need to be located in the new Y-pipe.

Plugs, you will get 1000+ answers. Most seem to run stock plugs, or the acdelco rapid fires. A few have complained about the platnium plugs, and that they dont go good with these engines.

welcome to the club!!!
If you're going to use an ignition box, this site, and others I've been to do not recomend platinum plugs. I'm gonna go w/rapid ire when I can afford them. I still need to install my exhaust, but that shouldn't be too far off now.
I'm gonna wait on header install, but will use them , currently am using the pass side O2 sensor.

hopefully, we can answer each other tunning questions along the way.

btw, which front cover accessories are you using?, the 2.8 or am Inot alone in keeping the 3.4 water pump, p/s pump, & alt?

I used all the 2.8 stuff. Exhaust anifolds, balancer, oli pan, valve covers. I did not use the 3.4 timing cover because of sensors that i was not going to use are cast in to it. Ditto for the oil pan and the 3.4 exhaust manifolds.

SO EXCELLENT TO HEAR YA PLEASED WITH YOUR EFFORT AND MY HELP.
I couldn't be happier to help a dream come true.
One of the things I kinda thankful for, helping like that.

Hope all are having a great holiday weekend.

Me?
I use Bosch Platinum & Accel 8.8 & Accel remote mount coil.
Seems to work well, but....
I DID NOTICE...
When asking for plugs, ask for the specific 3.4 mills you scored & use.
Ex. is 1994 Camaro 3.4, what spark plug,
Compare part number to same request for a 2.8 engine.
Because of the higher 3.4 mill compression (close to 9.5), we need to run one step colder plugs than 2.8/3.1 engines.

Hope you keep enjoying your miles of smiles!
Ya earned them!
