Putting Tranny on engine.

Putting Tranny on engine.
When I go to install my tranny on this new engine. My pops is worried that their is a "piolit bushing" in the back of the engine somewhere that needs to be changed like back in the old days.
Rem, this is a manual tranny, and I will be installing on the 93-95 3.4l engine.
direct bolt?? no need to change any bushings n crap?

just inspect it to make sure it's not out-of-round. If so , replace it. Actually, go ahead & replace it. When I did my engine swap in the T/A, I replaced the solid bushing w/a roller one. got it @ Nappy. might be the only place besides dealer to get one.

project, any Idea what the part # is for that roller one??? I'm going to roller timing chain, and eventually go to roller rockers, why not a roller piolit shaft bushing.
How do I go about getting them in and out?
Also, the engine came from automatic, and I'm putting manual on it. I know I have to change flywheel, will this make difference on the bushing??

Getting them out is the hard part but you don't have to worry about that because your new engine doesn't have one. You can just tap the new one in. Don't forget to lube it.
The flywheel does not change anything regarding the pilot.

Um, I would have to think (oo, their I go using that word again
) that the rollor would last longer provided it gets oiled properly.
