Anyone want 20 hp *laughs*

Check this out. I know its not tech, but how can people even think someone would buy into this pipe dream intake.

You might get 20 hp if you already have 600. *laughs*

I think he added an extra 0 on the end.

Atleast its not an outragous amount of money. That is about how much it cost to make one at home depot.

$5 is about what it is worth, most of it is the cost of that sewer drain rubber coupling. Mine was like that before I swapped the plastic with aluminum and the rubber intake with a blue slicon one.

Don't forget to slap some APC decals on it to increase its value by 1000%...

Lol yeah... You know I just re-read that message the guy selling that thing typed.. What was he filtering his car with before, a 2 in. piece of bendable exhaust pipe and cardboard for a filter??

BTW-I plan to put 'Gerhardt Performance' on everything I make..it's me and my friends' car club. Named after the street we always meet on...many, many tread marks on that street. Just gotta design a decent looking logo on Adobe..cant seem to do anything good looking.

Him claiming 20 horsepower isn't nearly as outrageous as the ebay fancharger and resistor air/fuel modifier sellers claiming whatever it is they claim.

Yes...the "E-Ram" electric supercharger...packs a whopping 1.5 psi of positive manifold pressure. Only operates at WOT because, since it's electric, it can't get enough power from the alternator..pulls DIRECTLY from the battery. :P And those damn Tornado things....lol...they RESTRICT the air in order to form their freakin tornado! And by the time it goes through the plenum and heads...well...yeah. No effect....except a car that sounds grumbly when you wind it up and a wallet $50 lighter.

Speaking of **** that doesn't work, you know those resonator tips you can get from all the parts stores? I wonder what kind of Jackass thinks that gives you more power. Especially the ones with the neon lights in them.

I wonder if some idiot ever put one on a Camaro.

Man....never ask that last question cause the answer, no matter what car, is always gonna be yes. There's always an idiot to put stupid **** on cars..it's a universal law. Lol. Hell, my freakin Edelbrock intercooled tips claim they make more power I believe..."allows exhaust to cool as it escapes for more efficient flow" or something like that..I couldn't believe it. And I thought Edelbrock could at least be SOMEWHAT trusted not to bull**** people.

I thought hotter exhaust gases flowed better...thats why you don't make a "cold air exhaust" setup like you would a cold air intake...hotter exhaust=faster flower, is what I thought.

Well colder air is more dense, so if you can make an area of hot exhaust gas colder, it takes up less room in the pipes. I saw that bit of advertising too, Nixon, I always wondered why Edelbrock said that

What Tom said..... And yeah...I mean if you can't trust Edelbrock.....? I guess the whole world is full of sh*t now! As if the tips, which make contact with the air for a whole like .2 seconds before it exits, could possibly make any sort of a difference at all except if they're closed off or stuffed with crap!

Btw...if I remember right, hotter air DOES move faster doesn't it? It's just that it has no density to it so even though the air is moving quicker, not as MUCH of it is moving...

Yeah, all the hot air molecules move a lot faster than cold. Like you said it makes no sense for that 0.2 seconds of touching the tips to make any difference in performance!
