Sway Bar Size
That's probably real close to what you have now. Go to 36 front and 24 rear WITH urethane bushings and you'll notice a big difference. This is the suggested setup on the V8 cars but they still will push a little into corners because of the extra engine weight up front. I have this setup on my V6 with 800Lb spings up front and 225lb rear- this car is dialed and pulls over 1g easily with no body movement in left to right to left transitions. There is not a car I come across on the street that can touch it on a cloverleaf onramp.
Springs
What brand springs are you using and how much did they cost? Is that all you have done to your car? I am curious to see what mine runs and want about an estimate. It is bone stock for now. 36 and 24 is what I want but I am low on cash because of no job. I am looking but can't find now. I plan on doing the sway bars with urethane bushings first though!

(laughs) That's the best, eh? When some teenager rides your butt into an offramp in their little import, and you can dust 'em while they hit the brakes?
AFast83z28, if you're short on cash but want an improvement, what you could do in the meantime is order the polyurethane end-link kits for the sway bars. Obviously, it wouldn't make sense to buy poly bushings for the bars you have now, and then buy them again when you get the bars that AFrickin' recommends. But you could re-use the poly end-links on the big sway bars; they're the same part #.
If you go with Energy Suspension brand, part #9-8117R is for our 82-92 f-bodies. ("R" is for Red. If you want black, make that part # into 9-8117G, G stands for Graphite which to them means Black.) If you feel funky, you can get 9-8117B (blue) or 9-8117Y (yellow).
http://www.summitracing.com wants $13.99 for each set, buy two sets, and you've got both bars- current bars AND future bars- covered. To do a part # search on there, put "ENS-" in front of the part numbers I gave you. Example, ENS-9-8117R.
Next time you hit a junkyard, take an open-ended adjustable wrench with you, and a small metric ruler. On each f-body you see, tighten the adjustable wrench down on the center of each sway bar, and hold it against your ruler. Sometimes it can be a bitch trying to find RPO code sheets (which usually tell you what sway bar came on the car), and 99% of the f-bodies I find have had that RPO sheet ripped out! (Dammit!) This way you'll never pass up one of the good sway bars. And when you ask for a price, be sure to mention that your old bar fell off or snapped in half or is cracked... you NEVER want to tell the junkie "how much do you want for this high performance sway bar?? I've been looking for this exact piece for the last 5 years!"

The car also has an Auburn posi 10bolt with solid rod-end Spohn everything including torque arm and tubular SFC's-everythings fully adjustable. '87 Iroc rims with Firestone Firehawk SZ50EP's(The best 16" street tire money can buy). 4-whl disks with crossdrilled rotors and carbon-matrix pads, braided lines. HMS aluminum strut mounts, steering brace, 3-point STB, quick ratio box. Darryl Young full race 700r4 with .521 boost valve 1800-2000 stall converter...more... now have been working on aquiring highperformance parts for the V6. I have most of what I need including a 62mm TB, just waiting someday for smog legal equal length headers. I'm looking at least 220 maybe 240 FWHP with headers (No thats not with NOS)
Edit: Forgot to mention- this is the wifes car
but I built it because I have to drive it sometimes. Last edited by AFreaknGoodTme; Jan 2, 2003 at 01:30 AM.

My BMR sway bar is 32mm and I got KYB struts and shocks and I have virtually no body roll at stock ride height. The BMR bar has a slightly different design than stock so that may have had something to do with it too.
