What is the industry's standard # of hrs to replace an oilpan on an 83 camaro w/ the V-6? I'm guessing around 5 hours?
Shoot, If i had seen this post this morning I could have looked it up in the Chiltons Labor Time Guide. I don't do heavy line so I wouldn't know but I can look it up on Monday if you remind me.
Hey, I checked the Chiltons book. It listed an '84 V6 oil pan R+R at only 2.2 hours....however these times are usually only used when some kind of warranty is involved. Warranty pay is total BS. Manufacturers actually have someone do the job over and over as fast as humanly possible, then they use his best time as "book time".
If it were regular pay, I could see charging at least 5 hours to do it.
