How Much Do You Think I'll Pay??
Hey guyz........ I'm lookin at a Camaro up at one of our local dealerships and I want some opions on how much i should pay for this car. Well its a 88-92 RS Camaro..... I haven't been up to the dealership while they're open... I just went a few times and got up close to the car and looked in the windows and stuff. It's Jet Black with Red Accent Stripes ( Just little stripes goin down the side like in the middle of the door? ) It has Red interior, I'm not sure if it has power locks or windows yet, i keep forgettin to look at that!, its an automatic, I'm not sure if its a v6 or v8 yet. Its in like new condition, looks damn good, inside and out. It has 99,xxx miles. I love the look of the car.... its just awesome lookin!! I'm gonna go in monday morning and sit in it and see how much they want for it, i wanna look under the hood and stuff. How much should i buy it for? Or what would you guyz bargain for newayz?! They have a deal going right now where you can drive, tug, or tow any vehicle into the lot and they'll give you a $1000 dollar minimum trade in for it!! So i'm thinkin that if i trade in my grand am, and i can get the car for $3000? Then I'm only lookin at $2000 for an awesome car!! I would prolly make payments on it, have my dad cosign with me! Let me know wut you guyz think!! I really want another camaro that runs great!!
Help ME!!!!
Help ME!!!! Common sense says that what they ask & you offer may be too different opinions.
Find out their side, first, then show them your Grand Am for a trade.
Make sure the car you bring to trade does look clean & decent.
You'll gain a better hand that way.
Happy bargining.
PS LEARN TO WALK AWAY FROM A TOO HIGH PRICE, too.
Remember, they have a problem called "Overhead".
Private sale/seller has only one problem - lack of a buyer.
A Grand Am should also bring more than $1K in resale anyway.

Thats not how it works, they will asked about a trade in first, and then jack up the price.
go in there and say no trade in and just make a deal, then spring the trade in on them.
I tried trading in my 79 camaro once [ on a 80s grandam with a stick] and I said I wanted more for my car, they said sure, but the car will cost you more now.
Id go down to your local junk yard and buy one for 100 buck and drag it in fore your 1000, and then sell the car.
I bet they want 4-5000 for it. dealers suck. There is also another name for them but I don't want to offend anyone jewish.

Dealers overprice EVERYTHING. Had a dealer before try to sell a total POS Rustang 5.0 for about $5500. The car had no a/c, a cracked dash, haphazard electrical wiring hanging all over the damn place...stereo was yanked with wires all sticking out, engine was filthy.. Terrible. Only plus for it was the 5 speed...
Did the Camaro you were looking at have the 15 mags, or the 16 in. pretty rims? If it's the mags, it's most likely a V6. If it's the 16 in. chromies, it's most likely a TBI V8. Although the rims are only an option and not an included extra with the upgraded engine, I have yet to see a TBI 5.0 that DIDN'T have the upgraded rims. And if it's got a red interior, I doubt it's a 90-92..I don't believe 90-92's came with red interiors...I think the standard was gray and black...

Ya, they do like to overprice everything. I'm pretty sure it has the same rims that my dads 88 v6 camaro has, So it probably has a v6. But that's alright, I want a camaro no matter what!! It looks really good.... do you guyz think that if I brought a printout of the blue book price that i could get them to go lower? I'm gonna bring my dad with me so he can try and talk em down too. I might just go in and tell em that if I can't get it for close to the blue book that I ain't goin for it.... maybe they'll go lower!!
You mean you know of a used car dealership that's not open on Sat & Sun?
Where are they IN CHURCH & IN THE CONFESSIONAL!?!?!?!?!
Learn to walk away.
Let someone else pay a high price & buy the problems....
Yet, you may win,
Give a shout with what ya find...

If your just looking at the car you should be able to tell whether it is a 88-90 or 91-92 by GFX, and the interior layout. The dash in the new cars is one big block of guages rather then several round guages as before.

Hey guyz.. I went and looked at it again... but they werent open so I still havent been in it or found out if its a v6 or v8 yet! I looked a little more, its got manual power door locks and windows, its an auto with drive and overdrive, the gauges are all seperated, like they all are there own circle, none of em go into eachother, 99,2xx miles, like really nice red interior, the body looks flawless, its just a really great looking car! I'm goin in tomorrow to talk to the guy about it, see how low i can get him to go!! I'll prolly take my dad so he can bargain too. I really want this camaro... I just wont pay too much for it, if they dont make me a deal... they can keep it!! I'll let ya guyz know!!
manual power door locks (must be operated by a Blonde!)
Now that's an oxymoron if I heard one!
Serious.
LOOK INSIDE ONE MORE TIME
IF
you see
OIL PRESSURE READING to the NUMBER 80, It's SIX CYLINDER
Oil pressure reading to the NUMBER 60, it's a V-8.
Absolute truth.
Then go inside & ask to have a look.
Say you're checking for a friend.
Have a good time.
PS TONS OF USED CARS OUT THERE TODAY.
Can you say overstocked?
I have a buddy selling his 1998 V-6 Camaro for about $7,000. It's loaded.

LoL, oops! Manual door locks.... thats what i meant!! HaHa. I'm gonna go in tomorrow mornin probably and look at it, just pull up and start lookin at it and see if they come out to me, if not I'll go in and talk to em and tell em that I want to see it!! I'll have to look at the oil pressure reading before I have them show me it too. Even though I dont care if its a V6 or V8, I want it either way!!! I looked it up as a 89 in the kelley blue book and the book says it is worth $3300. How much do you think they'll jack that price up? I'm gonna go in there and tell em that's what the blue book is, and i dont expect to pay much more!! So I'll let you guyz know what happens tomorrow.... any more ideas i need b4 i go in there and try to bargain for this camaro??

Hey guyz... a friend and me went and looked at the car today.... and screw that! They want $7000 for it!! I'm gonna look around some more.... and it was only a 3.1... I aint payin that much for that car!!!
Hope you had fun laughing in their face as you walked away.
Two things...
They are paying money sitting on it, their problem
Two, They probably saw you as a not able to pay customer & threw a number out for the fun of it.
beyond that, I'm really not surprised.
Lots of as sholes around these days, and you probably met another today.
Really hope you laughed in their faces as you left....
Remember to laugh harder every day you still see it there, as it only costs them more money.
