Starter problems when hot, starter click but still works

I think I have found the problem of the hot start and the problems when the solnoide clicks some times but the other times it works great. Sudden power lose for no reason and a car that starts fine one sec then another when you turn the key nothing happens.

I had all of these and when I went too check my connections. It ended up being the solenoid head cover was not tight, you could wiggle the whole thing. The screws were not taped deep enough for the screws holding it together and it can wiggle.

Could be the same lazy smuck who taped the holes on mine, also did many other starters that are all over the usa. And they keep getting sent back into the system cause it feels like the screws are tight but the cover is not.

Next Time a starter acts strange just wiggle the main cable see if the whole solenoid cover moves.
