Update on my project ;)

Well, since my current deployment tdy has been canx, maybe somewhere else when the $hit starts hitting the fan, I'm gonna start to work on the bird again.

reminder:
1) Bleed brakes
2) Drill out snapped tranny mount bolts
3) Adjust timing to set idle down to around 750-800 rpm fromthe current 1200-1500
4) get title in my name. might present some problems since it's been almost 2yrs since I got the car, and the person I bought it from killed himself .

5) Get headers & exhaust put on. I'm gonna save up, not a lot really, and get them jet-hot coated inside & out.

I've driven the bird, no brakes & broken tranny bolts, already. Err, just idled around the back area by the garages. did the downshift into 1st & yank on the e-brake to stop . gunned it once & got the BANG of the tranny hitting the floor board. now I know what it sounds like .

Also to add to the list: get the adapter wire & hook up the msd.

How to register is easy.
Send a certified letter, return receipt to previous owner. It'll come back to ya.
Bring that paperwork to the DMV & explain the owner is no longer alive. Shouldn't be to much a problem, then.
Send the letter, first, to help prove your effort to contact owner.
IF ya know gravesight, take a pic, too.

his ex-wife still lives around here, and the Casualty office is in the same building I work in, so proof of death shouldn't be too hard to obtain. plus, he was in TX when it happened, San Angelo, and don't know what his current wife would do. Short Story is it's a Springer episode. After he sold me the 85, he got himself a 2001 Formula. Ex-wife is co-signer. interesting.
