TomP & Other Body Guru's!

Hi Tom

Often ya mentioned this bumper filler/fixer in a tube for about $3 or so,.
Recently I returned my $25 3M Urathene bumper kit as it's just too much stuff.
I'm seeking that small bumper fix it in a tube kit you've mentioned.
What brand?
What store chain?
How does patch look after painting?
Area I need to create is about the size of top of thumb/thumb nail.
The peak/top corner of the passenger side of the front bumper is "chopped, broken off" that blends into the top of the front fender line.
I need to reform/shape that area.
It's so "tiny" an area, I just seek a simple one time solution in a tube.
I could easily use JB Weld, to create/shape the area.
I am not sure how JB Weld will look after prep, primer & paint.
After traversing the Pomona swap meet (all 11 miles) not one vendor had my solution.
Out here we have Pep Boys (no solution, tried), Kragen, Autozone & independents.
Don't mind calling, would rather ask for solution over phone & drive over.
Many thanks!

Bought it at Strauss Auto back in '97; it was made by Bondo. Two part "Flexible Bumper Repair Kit". Hah, btchin', found a picture of it. I completely messed up the name. Don't know where you'd find it though, I don't think you can buy from their website: http://www.bondo-online.com/catalog_...sp?itemNbr=709 You might have to call them.

Worked great, just like regular filler, but easier to sand, and came out smooth. Used it to fill a couple holes, and patch one crack underneath a bumper insert- you could never tell there was a repair done.

Damn... just did a search... can't find ANYWHERE that sells it. Kind of a bummer; I'm probably going to need more of it this Summer. I wonder how my leftover stuff has held up for the past 5 years? That is, if I can even find it!

What I have found in my neighborhood
Pep Boys has a kit for $8
Kragen has a kit for $17
I returned a professional kit made by 3M that I paid $25 for it.
The quantity/area to repair, I need is about the size of my thumbnail.
Old stuff that has been opened, I'd buy new.
For the effort put out, why take a chance?
I seek decent results, I assume so do you.
THANK YOU TOM!
