Alright ---now she better not leak!!!
Well I finished the steering box swap this past weekend and since the weather was soooooo nice, I got ambitious and re sealed the timing cover gasket. Here's what i found along the way....
Was getting bad gas mileage/hard cold start fior a while now. Turned out I had a rip in the return line from the fuel pump . Needless to say, I fixed that.
There was a bunch of oil splattered over the front of the motor. i think that many of these bolts actually hold oil back as alot of the ones I took out had oil on the threads. I was also missing two bolts that held the alternator/AIR pump on. there was siigns of oil leakage at those points. So I replaced any missing bolts and applied RTV to all of the bolts before tightening them down.
Maybe now the motor will stay dry on the outside!
