This should be in the paint and body section. However, why cant you find a new door that has the holes for power windows and locks, and just move your hardwear over?

Yeah, all doors 82-82 had the same mounting holes; but not exactly the same internal hardware. If you find a door with the same internal hardware, you can probably just plug the junkyard door's motor in, without swapping anything out. Keep in mind you'll have to realign the windows; that's a tedious (pain in the butt) job!

hmm so how hard would it be to go from manuel to auto windows and what not?
i already have the lock on keyless with the alarm....but i dont like leaning to roll down that passenger side window, maybe if i just swapped that side so i dont have to reach...
, ya it would take awhile to to but it would be so worth it

Common sense says...
Remove the hardware for power windows from one to insert into the other.
hard part.....
Wiring.
But that is simple, IF YA SCORE THE OTHER CAR WIRING HARNESS FOR THE POWER WINDOW ASSEMBLY.
I plan on doing this to my 1974 Corvette.
I have the power window system and the wiring harness.
Remove the regulators & swap in the power regulators.
Wire up.
Done.
MAKE SURE ya also grab the fuses for the power windows. They tend to be circuit breaker fuses.
Atleast they are for my 1967 Camaro. Not sure on the 74 Corvette nor am I sure on the 3rd gen F bodies.
For that ya need the schematic to be sure what ya doing.
PS I agree it's a long reach for windows.
YET, they never fail (the manual motors!)
