Posi track..

Ok guys i posted a while back about do i have posi track rearend well, You told me some ways to tell well i got in my car the other day when i was going to wash it and backed it u the my garage and polled it in a little bit just though hm..its concret and just pushed the break a little bit hehe and hit the gass and i though hm..got out and seen to black marks going out of my drive way..is that good enough proof its posi?

If the driveway was very slick or something then that is possible with an open rear end, but extremely difficult/rare/damn near impossible. If you actually left TREAD marks with both tires.....I'd pretty much guarantee it's POSI.

Check your RPO Codes For G80 which is the Limited Slip option (aka Posi). In my opinion, very few V-6 cars came standard from the factory with it.

From the factory it is definitely rare.. I didnt even know there was an option for it on the V6's. Look at it this way...if you're a performance junkie enough to know what limited slip is, and to want it on your car, wouldn't you upgrade to a V8 first?

Still, the best test is to jack the car up, pop it in neutral, grab a tire, and spin. If one goes one direction and the other turns the opposite direction, it's an open diff. If it's POSI, they'll both turn the same direction, OR not turn at all...I can't remember which it is.
