V6 Catalytic Converter?

I wish to replace the catalytic converter in my car, it appears to be stock and is starting to rattle, not a good sign.
As I can not such for the term V6, the search function isnt helping me out.

I need to know what is the size of the exhaust on the stock V6 or if someone knows exactly what Catco converter to get, that would be even better then guessing

I am hoping to install this myself, it should be jus held on with 2 clamps, one at either end of the cat right?

Thanks!

I just did mine today actually.
I used my 3.4 convertor I got with the 50K mile 3.4 motor that went into the Blazer.
Looking inside the convertor I used (from the 1995 Camaro with a 3.4), it looked brand new.
What I did....
My 1985 Firebird had a replacement convertor on it.
I meausured both ends and they matched the AC Delco 3.4 convertor perfectly 2 1/2". Previous owner installed an aftermarket JUNK C Convertor (it was rattling so bad!)
The end going to the back "I" pipe was a perfect match, also teh ball cup connection. AC Delco CC had the exact same fitting & strap & bolt holes everything lined up perfectly. My friend took a muffler saw, cut thru (after measuring for fit) pounded it onto the front pipe & then just literally clamped it up.
Turned key, no rattle & freeway driving way MUCH improved, as was smooth idle in gear.
DO IT!
Nothing finer than a high quality AC Delco Cat Convertor.
I was extremly impressed.
PS I used a Performance For Power Cat Convertor on my Blazer back in 1992. It's still there & not a problem so far. I'll find out this year for smog if it's still good/effective.
Hope your project is as pleasant & simple

i just put on a catco convertor less than a month ago. just call summitt and tell them what you have. theyll send you just what you need. it gives it a good sound and a bit more flow.

If I'm not mistaken stock diameter should be 2 1/4. Here's website to get cats from. I've heard they work just fine for the price. I know two guys that have these, and for the price you really can't go wrong.

Diameter should be 2.5". Search for "catco" by "TomP", instead of searching for V6, and you'll find the part # I dug up. Same cat as a non-h.o. v8, by the way.
