sum 850011 HEI Coil HELP!!

sum 850011 HEI Coil HELP!!

ok there instructions suXorzs!

1. remove screws holding original coil cover.
ok i got that much

2. disconnect wire leads. use small probe if necessary to extract snap leads.
umm i didnt see any!!

3. remove and discard old coil, ruber gasket, spring/carbon coil to rotr coil.
thats nice and all but how?

4. replace coil with Summit replacement.
i ask again how where?

5. secure ground lead to coil magnet

6. snap leads securely into cap as shown be sure all is tite and bladed r snapped
i didnt see anyplace to snap leads!

7. reinstall


yeah andbody have some better instructions and pics, cuz there pic sucks!!

Sounds like you got an "IN CAP" Coil. Ours are remote mounted. That's why the steps seem Greek

Yep. Good thing you bought from Summit, you can return it no problem. Buy the direct plug in coil. Or buy a canister style coil (like the Blaster II), and search this board for my instructions on how to wire it into the dual connector GM system.

ok then i new something was wrong when nothing made since i was just gettin some more info on the problem!
