Wiring Harness

Ok, so how long will it take roughly to remove my wiring harness, and put it back in? I want to re-loom it in color and possibly do some other things while it's out.

I've never done this before, I have a friend that _may_ help me that has, but my general idea if he doesn't is to remove the lighting harness first, and then go one by one, checking the Haynes and Chiltons manuals on removal of an item (i.e. washer fluid pump), etc. until I've completely removed it. Am I making this sound too hard, or easy?

Anyone done this before that can offer me some straight forward advice? Obviously I have to label everything I remove carefully or I'll have a mess. I also intend to try and take detailed photos beforehand and during with my digi cam, so I have some guidelines in case I screw up.

Anyone want to add to this? Am I opening a can of worms?

I removed a harness from one. Can you say "spaghetti soup" ? My suggestion would be to not remove the harness -- especially if you are just replacing the plastic covering with a different color. the plastic conduit has a split one one side so you can remove/install the stuff.

Well, I was also thinking I'd paint my engine bay, Redraif's done it without removing the engine and I've been getting advice from her and Lt1guy.
