Cam for 3.4l SFI-DIS Engine, Need Advice

I got the 3.4l SFI-DIS in the ride, hauls ***** on interstate. I have no low end. I love to burn my tires, bark 2nd, would like 3rd, drive USUALLY in town, but does do road trips to car shows. Burnout contest at shows. I really liked the low end of my old 2.8l tbi.

So, that said, I have found 3 cams that work with the SFI-DIS ignition. REMEBER, I have to have specail cam for that damn sensor. IF you guys can find some others, please post site, price, part #, etc. I know diddly squat about cam specs, so I'm asking yall. Tell me what each one will do. And which you think would be best for me with above driving conditions.

CAM1 226deg in, 236deg ex, .463 in, .474 ex, lobe 112deg center n/a

CAM2 228deg in, 228deg ex, .465 in, .465 ex, lobe 110deg center 106deg

CAM3 195deg in, 205deg ex, .405 in, .427 ex, lobe 112deg center 108deg

All them specs are with 1.5 rockers, I intend on going to 1.6's with the hardend pushrods, unless advised that with whatever cam I can only do 1.52's.
Also, any of them will I need new springs, etc???

You could probably ask the guys over at camaroz28.com , there's a v6 forum over there that's 98% 4th gens and 2% third gens.

What special sensor are you talking about? AFAIK, the cams are the same, and will even have a drive gear for the distributor. Except in place of the distributor, there would be an oil pump drive; just a distributor shaft and gear, with no "upper body". The DIS sensor should be fed off one of the crankshaft counterweights... right? Or did that change for the 3.4?

Great tom. I attend fbody.com, but the v6 room is a "bash on v6/BS" room, and get no help. I will give them try tommorow.

Correct on "distributor" plug.

And the sensor is on the front of them cam for position of the engine.

I can spin the Firebird tires all day and night, until I destroy the tranny mount!
Something is limiting the distributor advance from 0-3500 RPM.
I doubt you need attend to the springs, YET..
