Yet Another T-5 Retrofit
But looking at the boards, you'd be hard-pressed to find more than 2 people who have done this before... to think this used to be *the* swap before the 3.4 came along and screwed everything up.. so. I need pictures.. and advice. I've gotten ahold of one good article on the wiring, but I'm a comp techie with wiring diagrams, so it's not info that I was dying for.
I could use reference points on where to cut the hole for the shifter..
Advice/experiences on pedal assembly removal/replacement would be spiffy..
I'm sure there's more to come as I get deeper into this can of worms

i pretty much did this swap, then blew the tranny in my 91, so i put a TH350 into my Z28 instead
its a very easy swap
the shifter hole you will need to cut is going to be about 8"x8"
buy a 5 speed upper console and that will give you an idea where to cut
to put in the hydraulics you are going to need to remove your master cylinder from the power booster
you will then need to use a hole saw and cut a hole for the clutch master
putting in the clutch pedals are fairly straightfoward as long as you can squeeze yourself under the dash pretty well
for the wiring, you will take the dark blue wire and the light green wire from the nuetral safety and splice/crimp them to the proper style connector to connector the reverse light switch on the T5
then you will take the purple wire and yellow wire from also from the neutral safety and wire them to the clutch start switch

Thanks for the support, Guy.. everyone else can blow me
Swap is complete. V6 made its debut appearance at the local meeting spot a few hours after getting off the ramps.. needed a wash and some tweaking.. but hey. It's all good =)
GM sucks at bleeding their clutches.. spent about 45 minutes rebleeding this supposedly "pre-bled" clutch.. bastards.
Just gotta get her cleaned up inside.. start putting the interior back together.. maybe find a shifter handle and the top plate for a manual car.. poor thing's been sitting for so long I'm left with no idea what to do with her.
Next major project, 60* V6 meets Mr. Garrett. Stay tuned
