Rear hatch problems

Alright the other day i started my car and my rear hatch started going crazy and opening and closing repeatedly non-stop. I checked the fuses and pulled the engine cooling fan fuse and it stopped. Oh and is the removed fuse going to bring any harm to my engine or anything? Anyone have any clue as to whats going on here?

put that fuse in your fan will not come on and you risk blowing a head gasket if the motor gets way too hot. Take off your rear int panel and disconnect the wiring harness that goes to the hatch motor. As for what is causing the problem I would take a guess at the motor contacts that hit a lever to shut off are not comming in contact with that lever to shut the motor off. I could be wrong with that though.
