Isn't Dale's swap just a 60* 3.4L (L32) swap...? I was planning to swap the 90* 3.8L (L36) motor in...

Yes, but you will still run into some of the same problems with the ECM wiring.

Since you already have vats on your car, that should just swap over.

Will have to hack wiring harness to control heat and air.

Will have to create 2 or 3 fused areas.

Custom AC lines (not done yet on mine)

I have 2 plugs for some ac stuff, not yet hooked up on mine.

Clutch anticipate switch.

alright, so it looks like I'll be the first to take on this one then??

So electrical differences aside, this is basically the same as swapping in a V8 then? it just fits right in with the 4th gen heads, headers? what kind of motor mounts do I need?

so it sounds like all i will need is:
T5 + conversion parts (easy enough)
complete 3.8L engine with all accesories (even easier to find)
motor mounts (?)

and the stuff that is optional that I will do at the same time is:
4th gen manual center console
add A/C
buy some V8 lowering springs

beyond that it's just electrical stuff that has to be fabricated/adapted then, right? if not, what have I missed?

I would get a set of 3.8l motor mounts from 4th gen, try them first. Then if they wont work, try some 3rd gen v8 mounts. Keep recipts, and keep exchaning.
