Best bet is to get TransGo. Actually, it is the _only_ one to get. Do a quick search on the tranny board and you'll see why.

I put one in mine and it's grrrrrrreat. I used one of Pro-Builts custom setups.

If all you want to do is hold the gear longer the all you need to do is change the governor to a lighter weight unit- Put a V8 gas governer in it and that will rasie your r's- you can get one from any tranny shop or junk yard- takes 5 mins to change. Its the round domed cover on the drivers side rear of the trans. Just pop the cover off with a big srcewdriver and pull the governer assembly out (nothing else will fall out- its pretty simple to do)

Edit: the lighter the springs and weights on the governer, the higher your shift rpm's will be.

Don't use a Vette governer unless you are running a V8- we don't put down enough power and it will hold your shifts till your rpm's go through the roof

The B&M Transpak is the exact same kit as the B&M Shift Improver Kit. You pay an extra $20 for a filter.

The B&M gives hard shifts but does it "the easy way", and hurts the trans. The Transgo kit gives you firm shifts and helps your trans last longer.

Your saying that it's better to go with the Transgo Kit? What is the complete name of this kit, and where can I get more info on it?

What does installing this kit involve? Would it be best to leave it to the pros to put in?
