when i first pick up my camaro it would idle really rough and almost die the catch itself and rev up and when you hit the gas it would like knock pretty bad then after lettin off the gas the knock would go away but the other day my wife started it up and it seemed to idle alot more stable and and when youd hit the gas the knock wasnt has bad. Ideas on way it would do that?

Oh also the car sat for close to a month before i got.

 

i love the pic in the sig, before even reading your post you just know what your dealing with lol. has the car been not maintained well over the years? i do all the basic stuff first then see what you really have to deal with. check the igntion system, fuel delivery, timing, all that. check plugs/wires/cap, set timing, make sure the ignition coil is still good, probably rebuild the distributor, etc etc..

 

maintance wise im not sure but was told it was kept up. I pull a plug and it looked burnt. So im goin to do the TomPtune here really soon, But was curious if the things i posted happen just cuz it ws sittin for a month without bein run? I know a good tune up is in order and like you said go from there with it
