A/C problem, Pls help
Hi,
I am the Chinese in Taiwan, my car is almost ready, I wish to post some pic for you guy. My A/C is kind of wired, when I try drive faster, it became not so cold, than I feel like no A/C running, if I slow down for a while, it's starting to work again, why is that??
BTW, how to make the car to run economic on the gasoline, cause the fuel is super expensive in Taiwan.
Thanks
Joe

Can you afford the garage price, also?
I hear in Japan it's SO EXPENSIVE.
Park the car
drive on special occasions.
You'll be maxing out at 15 MPG, not too great. IF ya get more, you are lucky.
Age, milage of engine & lack of talent to fine tune engine is the culprit.
AC
have it checked at a garage that knows about the AC. It could be just low on Freon. That answer is determined by gauges & such.
Your example would take R12 & I'm sure it's still available in Taiwan. The total used of R12 is abotu 4 pounds.
How did you do on tires?

thank you, my Freon is not in very low condition, but the people in the garage still fill it up and said : if it still not improved, the thermometer control next to the Freon bottle have to be fixed or changed, how do you think about it.
My Tire plan was stopped, Tirerack ship only thru the express company like UPS and the shipping is too expensive, it costs USD200/2 tires, do you know any store ship world wide (with USPS) and accept VISA card??
We pay USD33 to fill up the V6 bird and run less than 300km, because the traffic is pretty crowded here. (The average income of Japanese is triple than ours, we pay about USD32121 for new firebird V6 15 years ago and they stop import Pontiac, oldsmoble and Chvy since 1995.....)
