hrm, looking at the MAF on my car. Its like a tube with a square thing on the side of it. When looking into it, i see a metal honeycomb structure and a circuit board...

i do not see how one could drill a hole and put it onto a piece of PVC...

Whoever wrote that article didn't cover the MAF (or didn't know about it) on 85-89 2.8's. They wrote it for a 90-92 3.1, which has no MAF. Drilling a hole in PVC is for relocation of the MAT, manifold air temp sensor.

As long as you install the MAF between the TB and air filter, you're fine. Just keep the MAF sensor orientated correctly as far as direction of air flow (don't install it backwards). Home Depot sells flexible rubber PVC pipe couplers you could use; diameter of the MAF is 3 inches.

im thinking that i could use that tutorial, but replace the 45 degree peice with the MAF since its almost a 45 degree angle.

btw TomP, please look at my post in the 1.6 Rockers thread, its the last one.
