No one makes an after market distributor that is compatable with the f-body V6 ecm- The distributor need to have the proper Ignition Control Module.

Accel only makes a cap and rotor for them. The Blazer dist. from Accel is for carbed 2.8 motors.

I can be an ******* also but can still offer help. I come to these boards for fun- and don't take sh*t to heart.

If the Blazer distributer you speak of has a module with the two connections for the ECM compatability, then it will work. If its a carb style vacuum advance one, then it will not.

Depends - 84, is your fbody carb'd? (I'm taking it to mean you pulled the fuel injection, and ran carb'd)

If that's the case, you DO want to use the vacuum advanced distributor.

On the fuel injected cars, the computer controls the fuel, and the spark tables.

If you are carb, then you aren't using the computer - you'll need the vacuum advance, and set it up like you would any other carb'd, mechanical distributor setup.
