For every wire you cut on my harness I shall kill you!

Just use a screw driver and pry it from side to side.

The subject of this message would make a great DVD title...

The o-rings on the end of the injectors, right before the pintle caps (which will probably break into tiny pieces) can get melted to the intake manifold; that's what's causing the fuel rail to be stubborn.

If you reinstall the same injectors, buy a new injector o-ring kit... it's made by Standard, I believe the part # is SK12, but look it up from carparts.com or something, don't trust me on it. It's been a few years! And put some engine oil on the new o rings before reinstalling the fuel rail... swipe some oil into the injector holes of the intake manifold, too. If you tear an o-ring upon reinstallation you can cause a vacuum leak (and that's why you can't re-use your old o-rings). They're a special material; buna-n I think, it's brown colored, and resists fuel.

Oh, okay, in that case, here's what I did. I stuck a big screwdriver between the lower plenum and fuel rail, and pried that fuel rail up.
