Yup, my clutch is slipping pretty badly. I'm strapped for cash and I need a refurbished clutch. Anyone have any ideas of where to look, other than junkyards? Any other chevy clutches compatible?
Thanks in advance.

Can you float it at all??? First 6-8 months I had my car you had to float the clutch or it would slip bad but I was able to drive it a long time. Not till the tranny went did I change it.

floating is where you easy the clutch pedal lose, while being easy on the gas. Kinda like when you gotta stop atthe top of a big hill and get going without rolling backwards. I believe my clutch was original when I changed it at 204,000 with the tranny.

Oh.. yea, I can do that. It only slips when im hard on the throttle. I can be in 5th going 30mph at 5000 rpms.. haha.
If I take it really gently its not so bad, but if its slipping its only a matter of time until it gives out.

Long as you baby it and float it, you can make it last forever. I even use to win street races with it. Just had to take it easy in first n back pedal the throtle as needed.
