hooker catback
Any of you guys ever put a hooker catback on your V6?
Well after looking at a buunch of posts about how Dynomax was the best V6 exhaust, I decided to say screw that and i bought a hooker. I bought the cheap one from Jegs for 207 and change. It fits the back of the car fine, and up front, I took a cheap way out and cut my stock pipe right after the cat, and clamped adapters to go from 2 1/4 to 3 inch pipe. I'm gonna have it welded up next week. Suprisingly, it sounds really good, it looks really awesome and I might have picked up a horsepower or two(no noticeable increase) Alls I can say is that I'm glad I didnt lose power. The cool thing is that when I upgrade to my 350, I can still use the exhaust. Just unclamp, pull the adapters off, and bolt to the new stuff.
I'll try to get pics up next week when I get his one part welded. but I say if you're not afraid to cut apart a perfectly good exhaust its a great upgrade! Anybody else do anything like this?
