Code 36

36. Burn off at mass air flow sensor OR
Problem in transmission shift OR
Fault in direct ignition system OR
Missing pulses in electronic spark timing signal

I don't know what all this means???
Burn off at mass air flow?
What signs should i look for in these areas?
My ignition is all new, although i think the timing should be advanced. Which i'll do tommorow. But what is burn off at mass air flow? What should i listen to at the tranny. Direct ignition; whats related to that? B/C all new, cap/rotor(blue streak), wires(accel) plug(ac delco rapid fires) Whats missing pulses??? if you guys could explain this to me that would be great, im not so good at looking for problems on cars, just making them look good!@
