Gonna change thermostat, but......
...I HEARD that some 3.1 V6s had the gasket and others had the rubber seal aroung them.ANY truth to that?If I got to put a gasket on...is it easier to remove the old gasket from the engine and put the new one adhered to the thermostat housing rather than trying to put it on the engine?I'm gonna do it the hard way and not take off the intake or plenum.Did anyone have trouble getting the bolts started once you put on the housing?ALOT of questions I know....but have'nt done this before.Trying to do it without taking all the stuff off.Any advice?

:sillylol: the hardest part is dealing with the bolts. Take your and don't get pissed. Make sure you have the correct size stat. I followed the application book at Kragens and ended up getting a 44mm stat instead of the (I belive) 48mm stat. Using the smaller stat caused over heating problems for me.

just make sure there is no other gaasket or o-ring left when you put on the new o-ring and housing...I cracked 2 just because there was a little gasket left on the block. For some reason they break super easy
