Attn Dale & KED85:

Dale: When you swapped in the 3.4 w/the SFI, what gauges did you use? It just came to me while I was out driving the bird ( ) . The VSS, electronic tranny, and all that.

Karl: IF everything goes as planned, and you aren't in too much of a hurry for the tach, I'm gonna keep the new gauge cluster & just send you my 85 gauge cluster to use.

Now to findout how many splines our driveshaft yoke has, & how many the 4th gens have.

I kept the s10 guages. Temp works, aftermarket tach works, speedo doesnt because its a 2000ppm, where camaros are 4000ppm.

4th gen and 3rd gen rear axles are "the same" and interchangeable from what I understand.

4th gen rears/axles are approx 2" longer (wider from the front of the car, looking back) than 3rd gens. Only difference that i know of - you can bolt one into the other.

The axles themselves won't swap.

Also, if you talk to whats that one guy, he has a 4th gen rear AXLE in his 3rd, along with 4thgen interiour, and engine, and composite lights, and flames, etc etc.

FLAMES?

Yeah the tach deal is fine with what you are offering! THANK YOU!!

GM is real cheap.
There shouldn't be ANY difference in the spine output from our auto trannys.
I believe the 700R4 splines are like on a TH350
As long as you used original sensors all your old gauges should connect & operate without a problem

Don'y be saying flames around here :nono:

Yeah, if everything goes even remotely acording to plan, that new gauge cluster will do and go by wire schematics to ook everyting up (unless I have to use 4th gen gauges & wire it up for that)

Karl, need a rear fold down seat cover? Stained some on the back but no rips. Also have the dash "plaque" thing w/the Firechicken on it that sits i front of the front passeger. I have that "glove box flap thing" now and don't know of anyone else w/teh brown/camel/tan interior.
