Clutch Kit Recommendations

Hey, getting ready to swap my manual in sometime in the next couple weeks. All I need is the clutch. I was leaning towards a centerforce dual friction, but I've heard good and bad things about it. Mainly that it sticks too hard, the pedal becomes much stiffer, and it's overkill for a V6.

Any comments?

my clutch pedal didnt become any stiffer with it

it didnt fail me, but when i pulled the motor to put a 305 in, it looked like it took a beating

now, i beat the **** out of the car so this could have something to do with it

it had about 1.5 years of daily driving on it

Centerforce is overkill for your engine- Its nice and will work, just alot of extra money for something not needed-
P.S. -trust me, I'm the guy that did development testing with the very first several prototype Centerforce clutches- Mike Hayes/Centerforce used to sponsor me 10+ years ago. They had problems with throwout bearings not withstanding the building pressure- thats about it.- They still give us free clutches for the Vette
