What kind of gas milage are you getting? State in town or highway. Also what engine did you have before and what was it getting?

BTW, project85 need not post, we know his shoots raw gas. j/k

The rearend went out not long after the swap was completed, so we're not sure yet. We'll post mileage and RWHP numbers soon. We'll also have dyno #s on the effect of the PF&E headers on a 3.4. Greg is supposed to have our y-pipe finished today, and get them to us next week. I'm curious if they'll pick up the mileage any (got high teens with the old 2.8 I think), though now we have a couple more variables (high stall convertor and 3.73 gears, going in now).

I got 25 or so .. going 75ish. 20 or so in town. Ive tried to figure it out a few times, but the pumps I use like to not fill it up 100% of the way a good bit of the time. I tried again on the trip to Pensacola today (200 miles) but the gas guage showed 3/4 when I filled up... killer.
...anyway....
Stock 3.4 heads..
Crane 2030 cam..
89 computer w/. Hypertech chip (for an 88 automatic car if it makes a difference... long story on that)
no emissions stuffs..
T5... 3.23s..
no cat.. but 3 mufflers (killing power? heh.. I hate hearing my exhaust)
235 60 R15s

Used to be an automatic 2.8L with 3.23s (old 305 car rearend from the yard... didnt know the gears when we got it). Don't know if the hypertech chip is hurting it or not, butI figured I would try it out for a month or so after I broke the 3.4 in.

2300 miles on the motor.. still got a few bugs to work out.

Its a bit off topic, but i thought the powermax/compucam 2030 and the 3.4 cam were one in the same?

I think I remember seeing the 2030 is either insanely similar or the exact same.. yea.... but my 3.4 cam... several of the lobes were wiped ... as in almost round. Rebuilt the 3.4... milled heads, honed, turned the crank, blah blah.... might as well get a new cam anyway

New injectors too... Accell 17lb injectors.

Oh yea... old motor at it's worst got 11-12mpg around town with the auto and 15-16 interstate... but that was when I pulled 77rwhp in 3rd on teh dyno (couldnt pull 4th).... 2* timing and a "few sensors were acting up" I guess

One thing to remember about the 2030 cam, especially if you are running the DIS system 0r know of a 4th genner 3.4 dude, it doesn't come w/the cam position tab on it.
