Alternator, a/c, master cylinder questions

Is there really any difference between v8 and v6 alternators? I've been thinking about getting a chrome case for mine or something along those dress up lines.

What about the a/c units? There's a lot of stuff in the Jegs catalog I just got for xmas, and I'm wondering if anything will fit my setup.

Lastly, I know Redraif has a Mr. Gasket Chrome master cylinder cover, but I've been unable to find one that fits my application. It's something like over 6" by 4" or something, I forget the exact measurements. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I have the 3.1 Camaro.

You want a good altenator? Stock is 100 amps, this one boosts you to 140 amps- stronger ignition , or good for big stereo systems also (can't go too big- no harm, its regulated so it won't overjuice). A TPI altenator will work on our V6's I have an '89 chev truck that runs the same alt as the V8 Camaro's, and fits/works perfectly in my V6 Camaro. Same altenator. I also own a big Powermaster 200amp race alt for my truck that I put into the Camaro for a day- had clearance issues hitting the STB because of the larger bodied 200amp unit(used a longer belt also, in both the Camaro and the truck when used vs. stock unit)

Here's the 140amp CHROME unit from Summit- http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...7861&x=13&y=10
