Replace computer for auto to manual conversion??

Like the title says, is it necessary to replace the computer for a conversion from auto to 5 speed manual?

No, but it can help to replace the MEMCAL. On an Auto-to-manual this is still not as important as if you go from a manual-to-auto.

cut hole in floor for shifter, cut hole in firewall for clutch master cylinder, remove all auto-related parts, add manual-related parts.. but yeah, leaving the auto ecu won't kill you.. I'd look for one in your free time and replace it when you get a bitchin' deal..
