Replace your old tired coil!

I have an 88 BMW 535i which had the origional BMW coil still in it. (Spark Plug Wires too) Well I took an MSD Blaster coil that i had laying around and popped that in, WOW! what a difference in throttle responce.

Before it was kinda slouchy in terms of throttle response, now its like as soon as a touch it, it wants to GO! Since 3rd gen FBodys are all over 10 years old, it would be wise to replace your crappy old stock coil with something better, the MSD Blaster coils are good, and ive head good stuff about the Crane and Accel's too.

Put the blaster in my '86 a few years back.. didn't notice much diff.. relocated it to my '88 after I parked the 86 for the T5 swap, and she started up 40-50% sooner than with the stock coil.. personally I feel it highly depends on the condition of the coil..

Then noticable impact of the coil is probly controlled by the rest of the ingition system, and how well tuned the motor is in the way of reading the incomming air and fuel. Im sure you wold knowtice a big diff, if you had a coil that was almost dead.

But spending the $35-45 for one isnt too bad, and you can do it your self
