I was wondering if there was any other place to put the probe for the mechanical water temp gauge other then the drivers side cyl head. Anyone? The motor is a 2.8 .

you can get t-stat hats with tapped holes in them, that's where i have a sender for either a gauge or light, also a lot of manifolds have places you can hit water.

The stock computer location is right next to the thermostat, but I think that removing that would make your computer have a bad day...

poke it through the bottom corner of the rad. by the lower hose...that's where the instructions say on a few i've seen (athough, it would be better to put it by the thermostat....)

Thanks for all the replies, I thought about the rad but the cable from the gauge isnt long enough, I think ill try the thermostate hat thing, as soon as i find someplace to get one at.
