What should I look for?
I'm going to go to the junkyard and was wondering what I should look for...you know, hidden jewels. I have a firebird but if there's any camaro pieces I should keep my eyes open for let me know asap.

hatch shocks that work
firebird radio pods (rare) ( i need one too)
4th gen center console (not likely, but if you don't use it you can get 100$ on ebay for it)
4th gen seats
hatch cargo cover in good condition
overhead console
headliners in like new condition (diamonds in the rough indeed)
door handles in good condition (due to leaks most are peeling up)
140 MPH speedo (since you have an 86 you could swap one in, unless you allready have one)
camero stealth ram air intake (cool!!!)
rear well body screws (can find them at AZ but at a jy they must be cheaper)
36 MM front sway bar (i have one )
alumminum rear brake drums
Posi traction (LSD) differential
85- seatbelt clip "the neck saver" (the 86 + ones suck)
4th gen electric seats
sail panells in good shape.
glass t-tops
any trim pieces that you are missing, have but are broken or in real bad shape
anything broken on your car that you could replace. i listed the stuff i look for when i go to the junkyard (besides whatever part i am actually there for)

bring along a magnet to find that "hidden" aluminum driveshaft, and the aformentioned aluminum drums.
THe ccamaro center lids open differently than the Birds from what I've seen so far
Camaro hinge in back, Firebird hinge on side.

Car: a car being parted out
Engine: blown up
Transmission: in peices

look your car over a couple times, write down what could stand to be replaced.
go get the parts. Extras are ok, but please remember that you will not be the only one looking for those same parts, so leave something for the next guy. Very few people think of the guy behind them while they clean the cars out of anything useful, eventhough they already have 10 of everything.
