Need you to estimate the price of my car and fast!
Hello all, I wanna put an ad in the classified in my area but I don't know what I should sell my car for... For all the details and 16 pictures, go to my web site at: http://www.cardomain.com/id/waonfire
The paint isn't that good, some places the yellow is not the same shade, some paint is coming off easily, but no rust on the body. The other details are on the site. Thanks!

Yeah, it's very clean, inside and out. If either was bad (interior was ripped, or the exterior paint was shot), you wouldn't get as much. But $2500 US sounds like a good price, at least in NJ, USA. Might get talked down to US$2300 if it's got high mileage.

It have 114 100 miles on the clock, 2.8L V6, 4-speed auto, electrical windows/doors/trunk, remote starter, tinted windows, Alpine CD player with remote (MP3), 4 JVC speakers, the interior doesn't have any cracks or tears, the exterior well it's not perfect but no rust, it need a little job on the floor of the passenger side, it has 4 new winter tires, I have an extra set of tires and a 83 Trans Am hood. The thing I know it would need eventually but are not necessary: motor mounts, center link, MAF and EGR valve. The AC doesn't work and the cruise control too, but everything is there so maybe it's not that hard to fix.

Id hate to say it but if you got a $99 special black paint job it would sell in a min. Blue or red may take another few mins. Not many people in this world like "arrest me" yellow cars.
VW people come to mind.
Even a cheap black paint job will look real nice for a while, epically going over nice paint as a base.
I'm afraid that yellow is killing your sale.

i think $2500 is a good price...if you're willing to wait a little while, you could probably get $3000. i just sold my '92 3.1L for $3000, it had 127,000 miles but the paint and interior was near perfect. very similar to yours, but more miles. it took 2 months to sell, but i just sold it 2 days ago and got what i wanted for it.

I want to sell it fast but I don't wan't to sell it for too cheap too. I have invested more 2000$ US in 2003 in parts.

To all of you who haven't replied yet, what would you pay for my car if you had the cash?

I think you can get $3000 its just the wrong time of year to sell. Its winter and everyone is broke from the holidays. Most people buying cars now are going for them end of year deals on new cars. Wait till summer time and I'm sure you will have lots of interest.

if i were you, if possible, i'd find a place near a busy road to park your car w/ for sale signs. maybe in a grocery store parking lot facing the road or something. with certain cars, they sell MUCH faster if people actually see the car, rather than just see 10 words about it in a newspaper. that's how i bought my RS (the red car above), i saw it on someone's front lawn and knew i had to have it. that's how i just sold it too, had it in a Bi-Lo parking lot facing the street. Both of our cars are kinda flashy, and people really notice them when they drive by. So if possible, sit it out on a main thoroughfare for a week or so and see if you get any callers. oh, and i'd try to sell it for $3000, but be willing to bring it down to around $2800

I already put one of my car in a parking lot near a road and I've got a ticket!
