Just got my first third gen
well guys after reading and posting a few things i'm finally one of the boys. I bought an 88 camaro with iroc ground affects and t tops, its a 5 speed obviously a v6(hence the board). it has no rust at all and all it really needs is a new dash pad and a handle on the drivers door
.
just wanted to share my success

Are you really? I'd go with something that you can track then... or at least a 2 way pager model (let you know when it goes off!)

Congrats. I just purchased my 2.8 firebird a couple weeks ago. I got mine for $500. I live in N.Delta and can understand the snow problem we're having. I'm not sure about camaros but if you look at your fuse panel, there may be one for your ignition or coil or something you can remove and the car will not start.

I'm not sure if it was the same one or not. It belonged to a guy I used to work with. Interior is a little rough but it runs really well and flew through aircare. Could use a new interior though (the car has 228,ooo kms).

yeah same with my car just flew through aircare all reading were way below average passing but hey you got a good deal even if it does need a new interior
welcome to the wonderful world of owning a v6 thirdgen. My first thidgen is a red 1988 Camaro, 2.8, 5-speed, t-tops.Paid 800 for it but its not too pretty but I love that car. Shown many people up in it
Have fun and don't get too crazy. Seen too many of my friends wreck their thirdgens or ruin their parents thirdgens.
Oh and BTW, in the very front of your ground FX, you have the same spot where the silver is worn off like mine
