V6 "Clam shells" same as v8?
Im talking about the two items that the motor mounts go onto on the motor crossmember, some guy who told me referred to them as "clamshells" not sure what to call them. LT1 should be here tomorrow and pulled my 3.1 Out already, just want to know ifI will need new "Clam shells" thanks.

Doward here:
NO - the clamshells are completely different. Go to Autozone, have them pull an Anchor 2292 and 2465, and compare them yourself.
2295 = 4 bolt
2465 = 3 bolt

ask for the mounts by the p/n's, then ask to be told what the p/n's are for the mounts of ech particular engine you're dealing with.
