Im not sure about firebirds, but if thier the same as camaros it's pretty darn easy, also make sure you get the ground GX for your year that way the holes are in the same location.

firebird ground fx aren't the most difficult thing in the world to do...many people throughout the board have done it, i'm sure you'd have better luck using the search button, cause i'm sure the subject has come up a million times b4. I'm doing the conversion on my car, unlike the camaro version of the swap, the front gfx piece is actually an entire bumper, the rocker panels are two different pieces (lower) and then the door piece. There are mounting accessories that go onto the side gfx pieces. The rear end is also an entire bumper assembly, not just a gfx add on, and hte pieces found on the rear corners and front corners are seperate from either piece. You'll have to drill holes in your fenders to place them on a car w/o factory groundfx, the front and rear bumpers however will bolt into place w/o modification. It's really straight forwad, just make sure u drill ur holes where the supposed to be (measuring works, but i was a bigger fan of a small piece of paint or the use of a little grease to show where to make ur cuts)

Redraif did it on her '87 Firebird, using '84 Trans Am front and rear ground effects (with the original V6 bumper covers), and 91-92 Camaro Z28/RS side ground effects. The front and rear pieces she drilled holes in the bumper covers to mount; the side pieces she actually mounted lower than stock, and I believe this required some drilling also. There is no reason you couldn't mount them as the factory did on whatever model you take them from, but she wanted a lower look with hers.
