Props to you dude! Now that my cars painted I'm going to be saving up for a painless wiring for an LS1 and Engine+Tranny (T56) combo. I figure I should have it by summer time. It's either that or sell my car and get a 98+ Z28.

woohoo on the road to some real power and making your 3rd gen drive like it was ment to.Im dropping my 2.8 next year and either getting a low milage 3.4. OR a 350 gm crate motor for $1300.Hard choice because the 3.4 is $350-600. The 350 will need a manifold,carb,fuel pressure reg,and a trans. so its $350 vs like 2500? hmmmm

i would get the 350 if i were u. ur gonna spend a lot on mods on the 3.4 (hopefully) so itll prolly equal the same price as the 350 , BUT the 350 will put out more power

i had the 2.8 and it came from the factory with 135 hp and 175 torque. i was joking about my particular motor, my motor was old and worn and slow. i dont no much about the 3.1s power or ability. i didnt mean to offend any other v6s men and women in any way
and with that i apologize
true about the 305s but i have a built 350 and its got a little more power than a stock 305 (i hope
)

Don't rip on the 6 cylinder guys. My 3.1L Camaro was rated at 140 HP from the factory, same as my '76 Chevy Malibu which has a 305 in it. My Malibu has about 40 more ft/lb's of torque tho.

And on the other hand the 350 crate motor(that i might get) is 250 hp and 350 tq BONE STOCK 0 MODS! add a differnt cam and headders then take a look also. Common man,im not saying the 6's are worthless, i own one. Im just saying too many 6 owners try to make them into some mystical engine that has all this power that you can tap into if you know how.
Also look at the price of the mods for a 6 then for a 8. Unless you have do it yourself mods like doward and techsmurf did its not worth the numbers you get vs the price on the 6's.
