help please

were can i find the fuel pump relay for a 1990 rs 3.1?????????

one of those times where i'm not really sure, but for some reason i recal people saying it was under the hood, near the radiator....but this is somewhat speculation, as i've never found the stupid thing.

well it might be i just took the fuse that is by the pass head light out and it shut the fuel pump off. but the person that had the car befor me mested up the wires and he has the fule pump wires all in a big mess with other ones.....o boy thsi will be fun but o well it is a therdgen so it is weatrh it thanx later

Look under your hood, on the firewall on the drivers side. There should be three relays there. It goes in this order. Fuel pump relay, Fan control relay, and A/C relay. The fuel pump one will be on the left side and be a little lower than the other two. Ask if you have any more problems.

yes i tryed thoes but the pump was still on when i unpluged them. is there any thing elts i could try? what happens is my pump stays on when i shut the car off and take the key out.. thank you for the infon so far tho

It should keep running for a couple of seconds and then shut off. If it is staying on I can only think of bad grounds or something. Maybe someone else will have an idea.

Wisest solution may be to head to the yards & grab that corner wiring & the fuse holder for fuel pump.
Splice it into your current car & you should easily solve problem like that.
I currently am having an electrical short on one of my cars.
My solution was to replace the switch. The electrical short continues......on that car.
