My speedo jumps around when i first start rolling. Sometimes goes to 40 mph then goes back done and works fine. Anyone know why it is jumping like this. Does this in reverse also? Thanks

 

Sounds like your speedo cable needs to be lubbed . I think there is an article on it , look up TomP . lube speedo cable and see what you get .

 

I believe my car has a digital speedometer. So what would cause this. It jumps around right when i start moving sometimes. Not always though. Once i go above 2 mph it is gone and is fine, sometimes always works. Does the same in reverse. What do you think could cause this?

well to find out u pull the dash cluster out and see if there are cable or no cables behind it

 

If it is eletric, what would cause this?

 

i dunno all my needles started crapping out (ie the skipping like u said) and i got a new cluster on ebay for 85$
