fixing rad tank leak?
The passenger side tank of my rad has a little hole through which the coolant pisses out when hot. A new rad costs me minimum of $225. Are there any cheap fixes for the plastic tank? I'd rather do a cheap fix first before replacing the rad.
Is that $225 canadian?? I got a new rad for $125 USD. If I recall, to have it repaired usually costs around $80 USD.....and there are some leaks that CANNOT be repaired.

Can you order through Summit? If so, squeeze a 31x19 aluminum into there! $160 + s/h!

I tried replacing the side tank and gasket myself once- the side tank cracked in my accident. What a nightmare! Even though I followed the procedure in the GM service manual, I still got leaks. Wound up getting a like-new junkyard radiator for $50... and I'm still using the same radiator- that was back in 1996.
